The hope of Rivers United reaching the quarter-final of the CAF Confederation Cup was dealt a big blow on Wednesday as they suffered a heavy defeat in Tunis.
Facing Tunisia giant Club Africain in Rades stadium, it was Nigeria International Kingsley Eduwo who killed off the threat of the Pride of Rivers.
Former Lobi Stars striker scored twice in the first before Rami Bedoui’s second half sealed the game in the second half.
The result means that Rivers United dropped to the 3rd position on the table behind Dream FC who had earlier in the day walloped APC Lobito 4-0 in Kumasi.
