It was an historical night for Remo Stars who didn’t only start well in there maiden continental game but recorded a debut goal as well.
Remo held FAR club of Rabat to an hard-fought 1-1 draw at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex on Sunday for the CAF Confederations Cup first-leg encounter.
Despite being newbies in the competition, the Ikenne-based club were compact with several blistering attempts throughout the encounter. Having conceded in the 27th minute, the visitors were unperturbed with the scoreline as they intensified with more offensive options.
The historical moment eventually came for Remo Stars, from their new-signing, Adams Olamilekan, who joined to score his first continental goal from an header off a corner kick in the 49th minute.
Remo Stars will seek to finish what they started in Morocco during their reverse fixture at Ikenne next Sunday.
