After helping the team to the quarter-final of the Confederation Cup, Rivers United United goalkeeper Victor Sochima has said they are not scared of any opponent.
The Nigerian champions reached the last 8 of the tournament on Sunday despite losing 1-0 in Yamoussoukro to ASEC Mimosa.
They finished in the second position behind the Ivorian but they are safe to play in the quarter-final.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper said their opponent will respect them being a Nigerian champion as much as they will also respect their opponent.
” We are NPFL champions since people are scared of facing tough opponents but at this stage of the competition, you are bound to face tough opposition.
We have our respect and I don’t think we are scared of any opponent, we can play anybody that comes our way.
As much we respect our opponent they also respect us because they knew we have something in us too”, he said.
