In readiness for the much-awaited first leg of the qualifying round of the champions league, former champions Esperance of Tunisia has finally arrived in Abuja.
The Tunisia champions were drawn bye for the preliminary round of the competition while their opponent and Nigeria’s representative Plateau United defeated the Gabonese side Stande Manji.
They left Tunisia on Thursday afternoon en route to Nigeria without 3 of their players: Ben Romdhane, Yaakoubi and Machmoum.
They touched down in Abuja venue of the match in the early hours of Friday ahead of the crucial game.
They were quickly moved to their hotel and they are expected to have their first training later today.
They will train at the match venue MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja on Saturday evening as stipulated by CAF.
The game is scheduled for MKO Abiola Stadium on Sunday with the reverse fixture taking place next weekend in Tunis.
