Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole has attributed the team’s defeat to Medeama SC to poor officiating from the match officials.
Remo Stars crashed out of the CAF Champions League on Sunday after losing out to the Ghana Premier League champion 3-2 via penalty shootout.
The agile goalkeeper believed the second goal they scored should have stood but the referee thought otherwise.
“The referee also didn’t help our course because we scored the second goal which was disallowed, I have watched it over and over but I couldn’t see the offside and I don’t know what they were thinking.
We tried not to concentrate on the referee but they were not fair to us”, he told Punch Correspondent.
For the second consecutive season, Remo Stars has failed to make it beyond the first preliminary round of the CAF Inter-Club Competition.
