Nigeria Premier League side Remo Stars started their campaign in the CAF champions league on a losing note to their Ghanaian counterpart Medeama SC.
The Nigerian representative arrived in Ghana on Saturday brimming with confidence and it shows in their game at the Cape Coast Stadium.
They were able to hold their own in the game until late in the second half when Sowah netted the only goal of the game.
Reno Stare worked extra hard to equalise the game in the second half but the host did enough to nullify all their threat as the game ended 1-0 in favour of Medeama SC.
Remo Stars will need to score 2 unreplied goals in the second leg slated for Remo Star stadium in Ikenne next weekend if they want to progress into the next round of the competition.
