The two finalists for the 2022 Championship of African Nations have been confirmed.
The semi-finals were held on Tuesday evening and it was the host Algeria and the Teranga Lions of Senegal that sailed through at the expense of the Niger Republic and Madagascar.
The Senegalese qualified for the final for the first time in their history after their 1-0 win against Madagascar, Pape Amadou Diallo scored the only goal of the game.
Algeria offered a real demolition earlier in the day against Niger.
The host also reached the final of the competition for the first time after a 5-0 success against Niger.
The final is slated for Saturday 4th of February 2023.
