Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed his excitement with the vital win against Wolverhampton Wanderers,
The Nigerian International netted the opening goal from the spot in the 37th minute to begin a comeback for the Foxes who conceded earlier in the game.
Iheanacho hailed his teammates and quickly shifted his attention to the club’s next match.
“It’s a breath of fresh air,” he stated. “We dug in well to get the three points. We worked hard to get them.
We have a strong character and, when we went a goal down, we didn’t stop pressing, we didn’t stop playing.
“We kept going and kept pushing each other to get the goal. We are really happy, sticking together as a group, doing this together with everybody – the staff, the players and the fans. We’re all proud and hopefully, we keep that form in the next game”, he said.
