Former African champions Super Falcons of Nigeria maintained their spot as the number one ranked team in the continent of Africa and moved a step up in the latest FIFA ranking.
The 9-time African champions suffered 3 consecutive defeats in the past international friends against the United States and Japan but did not shake their position in Africa.
The ranking released on Thursday afternoon indicated that Super Falcons moved a step up to 45th at the top of the table in Africa.
Bayana Bayana of South Africa is now ranked 54th in the World and second in Africa while the Indomitable Lioness of Africa is placed 58th and 3rd in Africa.
