Ahead of the crucial clash against the Junior Azzuris of Italy, the camp of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles was in a joyous mood on Tuesday after the injured forward Samson Lawal was certified fit to play.
Lawal who was one of the star players in the opening game was doubtful for the second match after he was substituted in the 54th minute against the Dominican Republic due to injury.
According to the update from the team camp in Mendoza, the team medics confirmed that the injury is not serious and Lawal should be available for the important game.
Italy remained on top of the group after they defeated Brazil 3-2 in the opening group game while Nigeria stayed second with their 2-1 win over the Dominican Republic.
The crucial game against Italy is slated for Malvinas Argentinas stadium in Mendoza on Wednesday.
