Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has turned down an opportunity to become the coach of the Desert Foxes.
Former coach of the tram Djamel Belmadi resigned from his position during the week after the 2019 African Champions crashed out of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The Algeria Football Association was said to have approached the former French International during the week.
Zidane said he was flattered by the Fennecs’ interest in him.
However, according to the France Football news outlet L’Equip, he declined this proposal.
The 1998 world champion therefore remained in his general position by closing the door, as he did recently for Brazil and the United States.
