The organizer of the Marc Vivian Foe Award has released the list of the nominated players for this season’s award.
The award was established about 2 decades ago in memory of the former Cameroon International Marc Vivian Foe who lost his life during the 2003 FIFA Confederation Cup.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles duo of Moses Simon and Terem Moffi featured prominently on the list but no space for the former Flying Eagles forward Akor Adams who joined Montpellier last summer.
The Nigerian Internationals will face stiff competition from the current holder of the award Chancel Mbemba of DR Congo.
Others nominated are Nabil Bentaleb, Achraf Hakimi, Pierre Aubameyang, Omar Diakite, Gouri Aminri, NDAYISHIMIYE Youssouf, and Singo Wilfred.
The winner will be known on the 13th of May, 2024
