Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus has been rewarded with a gold medal by the Western Reginal Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, following his exploits at the World Cup in Qatar.
Kudus was Ghana’s brightest spot at the tournament, scoring two goals and providing an assist in three games. The Ajax star won Ghana a penalty in the decider against Uruguay which was missed by captain Andre Ayew.
His contribution to the team was duly recognized after he arrived in Ghana following the team’s exit.
Honourable Darko-Mensah, who is Member of Parliament for Takoradi, presented a Commemorative Gold Coin Medal to the player on behalf of the Ghana Gold Expo.
Kudus attended the mini-ceremony with his friends Kamaldeen Sulemana of Stade Rennais and FC Nordsjaelland’s Emmanuel Nuamah.
