Former Nigeria’s Super Falcons forward Desire Oparanozie has responded to the reactions of her fans about her retirement.
The lanky attacker announced her retirement from the game immediately after helping Nigeria to the second round of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Football fans across the globe are still wondering about the sudden retirement.
“It is something that is definitely going to happen but a lot of people are not happy that I left the game too early I want to thank them for the love they showed me.”
“It was something I had thought all over, I know I left the game early and I have not had the opportunity to apologise to my fans”, she said.
Despite their retirement, Oparanozie remained one the most decorated female players the continent has produced.
