Super Falcons of Nigeria have secured a long-awaited qualification for the Olympics after a 16-year absence from the competition
The Nine-time African champions secured qualification on Tuesday night after playing out a goalless draw against Bayana Bayana of South Africa to win 1-0 on aggregate.
The 1-0 win by the Super Falcons when they hosted the South Africans in Abuja last Friday was enough to see Falcons through to the Games.
Super Falcons are now set to face Spain, Japan and Brazil at the Women’s football event of the 2024 Paris Olympics later this year
