The surprise visit of the General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football( CAF) Veron Omba-Mosengo to Algeria after leaving Ivory Coast has raised serious tension in the West African country about the hosting of the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
During the visit to Ivory Coast, some key facilities and infrastructure are not ready which did not go well with the football body.
And according to the update from CAF headquarters in Cairo Egypt, the football governing body is already working on plan B and the North African country is in a pole position to host the competition.
CAF Secretary and his delegation visited Blida stadium and had to meet with Sports Minister Abderrahmane Hammad to get his opinion on getting the hosting right of the African Cup of Nations next January.
