Kwara United won in a convincing 3-1 comeback victory as the duo of Rivers United and Plateau recorded slim wins over their respective opponents.
It was actually a goalscoring encounter in all three centres as a total of 10 goals were recorded in the three centres.
Rivers United who are NPFL defending Champions stunned Champions League winners Wydad Casablanca in a comeback 2-1 victory.
Having conceded from a 33rd minute tap-in goal from Wydad player, Bouly Sambou before Malachi Ohawume and Paul Acquah scored for the PortHarcourt landlords in the 35th and 53rd minute.
Elsewhere, Plateau United just as Rivers United defeated Esperance de Tunis in a 2-1 comeback victory.
Badri scored for the visitors while the duo Ifeanyi Emmanuel and Mustapha Ibrahim’s header from Daniel Itodo’s long throw assists earned the victory for the Peace Boys.
Kwara United, who scored more goals than others, defeated Confederations Cup winners, RS Berkane 3-1 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.
Berkane scored from a seventh minute header from Cheick Outtarra.
But the Afonja Warriors got the track back in the game after the combination of duo substitutes Taofeek Ahmed and Ayobami Junior restored the lead.
Taofeek scored in the 72nd minute while Wasiu Jimoh added the second four minutes later.
