Steven Gerrard has been sacked as manager of Aston Villa less than 12 months in charge,the club’s decision was announced after Gerrard’s side suffered an embarrassing 3-0 defeat against Fulham which was Villa’s sixth defeat in just 11 Premier League games.

Villa will begin life without the Liverpool legend on Sunday against Brentford in the Premier League.
