Manchester United footballer Mason Greenwood has been arrested on suspicion of breaching the bail conditions imposed after his rape arrest, it was reported today.
He’s alleged to have breached the conditions imposed on him as part of his bail by contacting the complainant.
The 21-year-old striker, who remains suspended from the Premier League club, was first arrested on January 30 this year on suspicion of the rape and assault of a woman. He was then further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.
A court hearing was held in June over his bail position, with a statement from Greater Manchester Police later confirming he remained on bail. No charges have been brought.
The academy product, originally from Bradford, was due to answer bail after his arrest in January. He is required to turn up at a police station on April 30 this year. Still, a day before, GMP said an application would be made to the courts to extend his bail.
