AC Milan has officially announced that head coach Stefano Pioli has extended his contract with the club for another two years.
In a statement on the club’s official website, the Rossoneri have communicated that Pioli has put pen to paper on a contract until 30 June 2025, with his previous deal being set to expire in June 2023.
Pioli joined Milan part way through the 2019-20 season after Marco Giampaolo was sacked, and it has been a very positive journey since, one which led to the 2021-22 Scudetto win. Now, Milan and Pioli shall ‘continue to work on this ambitious project’ reflecting the club’s history and values.
The next game will be on Wednesday night at a sold-out San Siro, with a win or a draw against Red Bull Salzburg enough to reach the Champions League knockout stages, which would be another critical step in the virtuous cycle that Pioli has embarked on.
