Remo Stars has finally succeeded in recording their first win against Rivers United in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Before Monday’s rescheduled game, the Sky Blue Boys failed to beat the Pride of Rivers in 8 attempts.
The rescheduled game played at the Remo Stadium in Ikenne witnessed an end-to-end game from both sides.
It was Andy Okpe who netted the opening goal for the away side from the penalty spot in the 19th minute.
But two second-half goals from Haruna Hadi and Franck Mawuena earned the home side a maximum point from the game to take Remo Stars to the 2nd spot on the table with just one point behind Enugu Rangers
