Teams in the Nigeria Professional Football League continue their preparations for the 2022/2023 season with the acquisition of new players.
Former champions Akwa United has announced the return of their former attacker Ndifreke Effiong who left the team a few seasons ago.
The lanky striker joined the Libyan pro league club Ahly Benghazi on loan from the ‘Promise Keeper’ and he was able to prove his worth in a short time.
The club acquired him permanently last summer and was able to score for them in vital matches.
Effiong chose to return to Akwa United after the agreement broke down with the Libya side.
His return will surely be a big blessing to the Uyo-based side as they continued their quest to reclaim the title.
