The technical adviser of Akwa United Fatai Osho has explained what they must do to regain their position in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The Promise Keepers have been struggling since the start of the season and their victory on Sunday seems to have re-energised the club.
Seyi Oguntayo scored in the 45th minute to give Akwa United a narrow 1-0 win over Lobi Stars in Eket.
” What we picked today against Lobi Stars is encouraging because we want to sustain this tempo in subsequent matches,” Osho told the club’s media after the game.
“It’s not just about winning this game at home, we have to be more consistent because that is the only way we can swim out of where we are on the log. We have to go for points away from home.
“I’m really impressed with my players’ performance in this game but we know that we still have some work to do to ensure we win our games not just at home but also when we play away from home”.
