Ex-Akwa United gaffer coach Fatai Osho has heaped praises on the club’s chairman Elder Paul Bassey following his resignation from the former NPFL champions.
The coach, on his Facebook post on Tuesday, described the veteran journalist as a rare breed that deserves happiness and he says he can’t thank him enough for the time spent in charge of the “Promise Keepers”
“ELDER PAUL BASSEY
Sir, I can’t thank you enough for my time at Akwa United FC. You’re a rare breed that deserves all happiness and success. We gave it our all but it was not to be. This temporary setback will be followed by unimaginable success. I will forever appreciate you for who you are. A nice man.
God bless you and Akwa United FC family abundantly 🙏
#SuccessAwaits 🙏 🙏 🙏”
Fatai Osho left his role as head coach of Akwa United on Monday after the loss at Heartland last weekend, he was appointed in August as the replacement for Deji Ayeni but endured a tough time at the club where he managed to record only 14 points in 14 games in what is Akwa United’s worst start in the club’s history.
