The Oyo State Chess Association is set to hold the second edition of the Oyo State Schools Chess Championship.
The event had its maiden edition in January 2022 with over 20 schools and 240 students taking part from U-7 to U-17 category.
The one day event which is meant for both boys and girls will come up on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba.
Newspring Group of Schools emerged champions of the first edition by a landslide victory with a total of 10 medals; two gold, three silver and five bronze medals.
Dayspring Group of Schools came second with two gold, three silver and one bronze medals while St.Brigids School came third with two gold medals.
