Former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has expressed his sadness following the poor performance of the team after his exit.
The Franco-german gaffer was shown the exit door in 2021 despite qualifying for the 2021 African Cup of Nations and getting to the playoffs round of the World Cup.
Super Eagles of Nigeroa lost scandalously to the Selecao of Portugal in one of the warm-up game and Rohr felt disappointed about the game.
While speaking to Osasuo Obayiuwana, Rohr said he didn’t recognise the Super Eagles again and he never lost 4-0 to anyone when he was in charge.
“I watched the game against Portugal in Lisbon. I didn’t recognise my players at all and I wasn’t happy with how they played and the result.
I never lost a match 4-0 to any team, during my five years as coach”, he said.
