RB Leipzig Forward, Christopher Nkunku will not take part in the World Cup. The striker left Tuesday’s training session before the end with an injury to his left knee. Unfortunately, examinations carried out in the evening revealed that it was a sprain.
The French Football Federation (FFF) says that a medical file has been sent to FIFA so that the injured player can be replaced.
The name of Christopher Nkunku’s replacement will be announced once FIFA confirms the medical file. According to RMC Sport, the replacement could be Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani.
Nkunku’s absence joins those of Kimpembe, Pogba and Kanté, three other key players in the French national team who will not be able to defend the title in Qatar.
