Fans are angry with team manager Rigobert Song and the country’s FA president Samuel Eto’o following the decision to send goalkeeper Andre Onana packing from the tournament.
It was reported that the Inter Milan goalkeeper held a tense discussion with the head coach, who insisted on a different style of goalkeeping which was more ‘traditional’.
Onana was suppose to man the post for Cameroon in their tie with Serbia but was reportedly dropped out of the squad on the back of a tense meeting with the coach.
Second choice Devis Epassy was in goal against the Serbians, and conceded three goals in the encounter as it ended 3-3. The Indomitable Lions must now beat the Tournament favorite Brazil in their final group game, a situation which has sparked huge displeasure against Samuel Eto’o and Rigobert Song.
