When the names of the invited players that will prosecute the two lined-up friendly matches for the Nigeria national team were released on Monday, there was a particular name that caught the eyes of football fans Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, it’s the first time he’s been called up and might be making his debut for Nigeria in the upcoming international friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.

1. He is 22 years old, Born in Germany, and moved to England at a young age, he’s of Nigerian descent. He’s eligible to play for England, Germany and Nigeria.
2. Fisayo is a Central and Attacking Midfielder who plays for Turkish Premier League side Hatayspor.
3. He started his playing career at Manchester City youth teams alongside his older brother Tomiwa (Tom) Dele-Bashiru in the U18 League as well as the Premier League 2 for Manchester City.
4. Whilst with Manchester City youth teams, both brothers were called up to train with the Nigeria U20 World Cup team in 2019. Brother Tom made the squad but Fisayo was dropped.
5. Fisayo moved onto League One side Sheffield Wednesday and played 86 times for them scoring 6 goals and providing 5 assists eventually gaining promotion to the English Championship.
6. This season, he decided to move abroad and sign for Turkish Premier League side Hatayspor rather than renew his contract with Sheffield Wednesday in the championship, he signed a 3-year deal with Hatayspor.
7. Fisayo has played 7 games, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists for his Turkish club side.
