The Management of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), has entered into partnership with the Nigerian Breweries Limited (NBL) to reward outstanding players during the club’s home games.
The partnership, according to the Executive Chairman of the 3SC, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, is another giant step by the management aimed at complementing the efforts of the Oyo State Government vwrnemnt, the sole fianncier of the club.
“We have sealed a partnership deal with the Nigerian Breweries Limited (NBL) and the deal will see the company rewarding our Most Valuable Players during our home matches starting with this game against Kwara United.
“During our home matches, any player who emerges the most outstanding player, will be rewarded with a cash prize of one hundred thousand naira (100,000.00), courtesy of the NBL.
“Subsequently, the scope of the partnership will be widened as the company has also promised to gift fans with our replica jerseys,” stated the 3SC helmsman.
Honourable Olaniyan, who confirmed that the money has been paid immediately, revealed that in subsequent matches, about 200 fans will be entitled to VIP extension tickets courtesy of the NBL, in addition to replica jerseys
Meanwhile, mercurial midfielder, Ayobami Abiodun Junior, fondly called agba, became the first winner of the award after he was voted by members of the sportswriters as the MVP in the 2-0 win over Kwara United.
