Ahead of the German Bundesliga II resumption, St Pauli who has Nigeria’sSuper Eagles midfielderAfeez Aremu on his payroll has appointed a new manager that will steer the team until the end of the season.
Former Akwa United player joined St Pauli a few season ago after an amazing outing with IK Start in Sweden.
The club on Tuesday afternoon announced Fabian Huerzeler as the club’s new coach.
The club consultants recommended Huerzeler after the contract termination of Timo Schultz and his assistant Loic Fave.
” We always have to keep an eye on the overall well-being of FC St. Pauli – and our sporting record in the 2022 calendar year is that of a relegation team. This must change immediately and sustainably so that we can take all measures to hold the class.
The corona pandemic and the exploding energy costs are already presenting the club with massive problems,” says club president Oke Göttlich.
