The newly crowned 2023 Africa’s Best Goalkeeper of the Year, Chiamaka Nnadozie put up another brilliant performance in match day 3 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League as she helped her club Paris FC defeat Real Madrid 2-1 by saving a penalty kick before the end of the game.
Goals from Julie Dufour and Gaetane Thiney gave Paris FC an early 2-0 lead in the first half of the game, Spanish World Cup winner Olga Carmona had a chance to reduce the deficit just before the half-time from the spot but she was denied by the Nigerian goalkeeper.
Real Madrid eventually pulled a goal back in the second half through Caroline Moller but it was enough as Nnadozie and Paris FC held on to win their first-ever game in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Nnadozie has now saved six spot-kicks for club and country this year
