The Tunisia Football Federation (TFF) has rejected the resignation of the head coach of Carthage Eagles Jalal Kadri.
Kadri was in charge of the team at the just concluded 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar but decided to tender his resignation letter following the first-round exit of the team.
A new two-year contract has been announced following a meeting between Kadri and the Tunisian Football Federation.
In a message shared on its social media page, the FTF said the meeting offered
“a detailed presentation related to the preparation period and the negative and positive aspects related to the participation of the Tunisian national team in the FIFA Cup. Qatar World 2022”.
Kadri will therefore have the mission of qualifying Tunisia for the 2023 AFCON.
