Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi is on the verge of joining Italian Serie C side Visa Pesaro on a free transfer.
The left-footed midfielder has been unattached after the expiration of his contract with the Serie B club Regianna.
The January winter transfer window opened on Monday and Visa Pesaro is in the market for new players to rescue their season.
The team is presently in the relegation zone and the Nigerian international is one of the players targeted to rescue them.
Obi who was part of the Super Eagles team at the 2018 World Cup has spent most of his career in Italy playing for Inter Milan, Chievo Verona, Salernitana, and a host of others.
