After suffering a 2-3 defeat in the friendly played on Monday evening, the coach of the Junior Sparrow of Togo Maurice Noutsoudje has said they must correct their mistakes before the competition in Ghana.
They resumed the final phase of their camping exercise last weekend and a series of warm-up games have been lined up for the team.
After the defeat, the coach confirmed that some lapses noticed would be correct before playing Nigeria and others in the group qualifier.
” The opponent proposed a style based on possession and the use of younger players, which posed challenges for our team. Nevertheless, we were able to observe some promising phases of play and an overall positive attitude from our players.
“We need to refine our strategy and correct mistakes to avoid conceding goals during the tournament. Our goal is to finalize a selection of 20 players ready for the competition”, he said
Apart from Nigeria, Togo will also play Niger and Burkina Faso.
