Following their 2-0 victory over the Junior Taifa Stars of Tanzania, Nigeria’s Olympic Eagles have got a cash reward from Nigeria’s Super Eagles skipper Ahmed Musa.
After playing a 1-1 draw far away in Dar es Salaam last weekend, the Olympic Eagles had an outright victory at home in the second leg to reach the next round of qualifiers.
Two second-half goals from Oguniyi Omojesu and Success Makanjuola ensured that Nigeria recorded a 2-0 win and progressed 3-1 on aggregate.
Musa had earlier promised the team N500,000 as a cash reward for each goal scored and the team eventually scored twice.
The team on Saturday evening got N1 million cash from the Sivasspor at the attacker as he promised the team.
