Ahead of this weekend’s Diamond League final in Eugene, Oregon, USA, the World Athletics has released the latest athletes ranking.
According to the latest ranking released, Nigeria track star Tobiloba Amusan dropped to the 33rd position from the previous 25th position.
The Nigerian ranked the fifth best in the world at the start of the year and number one in her event following her triumph at the World Athletics Championships last year has also slipped from second to third in the hurdles.
The Nigerian, with a 1414 total points score will have to run close or beat her 12.12secs world record run if she has the intention of topping the Olympic champion, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn who garnered 1437 points to stay on top of the standings.
while former world record holder, Kendra Harrison is second with a point haul of 1420.
Amusan lost her world title last month in Budapest, Hungary, and will be aiming for a title defense this weekend in the Wanda Diamond League.
