The Director of the Swiss league side FC Lugano Carlos Da Silva has explained the reason they gave a contract extension to Nigeria’s Super Eagles goalkeeper Sebastian Osigwe.
The Swiss-born goalkeeper has his contract extended until 2026 despite not having regular playing time with the club.
But the club director jas decided to explain the reason behind their actions.
“We are happy to have renewed Sebastian Osigwe’s contract.
He is not only a precious element for the dressing room but also a quality goalkeeper who has repeatedly shown that he is worthy of the Super League.
In training, he always gives his best. His professionalism is an example for his younger teammates, as well as a point of reference for his colleagues.
Finding a profile like this, in football and the specific role of the goalkeeper, is by no means a given”, he stated.
