FC Nantes’s poor run in the 2023/2024 French Ligue One season continues as they suffered a 3-1 loss to Metz on Sunday.
Despite the defeat, Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger Moses Simon distinguished himself in the encounter.
Simon was able to score the consolatory goal for the Yellow Canaries to secure a respectable scoreline.
This is the 51st time that the Nigerian winger has been decisive with Nantes, scoring 25 goals and 26 assists since his arrival from Spain.
if the 2006 season is put into consideration, Simon is the most decisive Nantes player in Ligue 1 behind the late Emiliano Sala (42 goals, 13 assists) and ahead of Ludovic Blas who now plays in Rennes (32 goals, 15 assists).
