The head coach of Nigeria’s U17 Women’s team Flamingoes Bankole Olowookere has said the team is almost ready for the Fifa under 17 world cup in India.
The Nigeria side played a warm-up game against Galatasaray ladies on Saturday and it was 1-3 in favour of the Flamingoes.

During a post-match conference, Olowookere said the team is 90-95 per cent ready but their target is to be above a hundred per cent before the competition.
“The team is a work in progress and the game is a build-up to what we might have done during the qualifiers and when we resumed camp for World Cup.
I think with this game, we are about 90 – 95 per cent ready for the World Cup but we intend to do that before we leave for India we want to be above a hundred per cent, so we would have more strength and energy to reach the final”, he said.
