Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Bay FC forward Asisat Oshoala has lamented the team’s defeat to San Diego Wave FC on Sunday evening.
The away side opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Makenzy Doniak before Oshoala leveled up the game in the 48th minute
A late strike from Jaedyn Shaw in the 78th minute condemned Oshoala’s Bay FC to a 1-2 home defeat.
While speaking about the game in the early hours of Monday, Oshoala refused to blame anyone for the defeat instead focus on the next match.
” Their first goal was a good goal, it was just like a shot from outside the box and there nothing anyone can do about that.
For their second goal it was good combination, they scored a good goal.
But we keep working hard, so we can become a better team defensively.
Generally, as a team we are working together right now, we are not pointing an accusing fingers at anyone.
We win together and we take the blame together as a team.
What we can do right now is to find the right adjustment and find a way to play well defensively.
As a team we are still learning and building”, she said.
Oshoala who has scored 2 goals for the club this season is expected to be in action again when Bay FC host Portland Thorns FC on Wednesday.
