Inter took their first-leg advantage of a 1-0 win in the first-leg tie against Porto and were looking to qualify as they travel to Portugal for the second leg.
Porto was all over Inter trying to get back on level terms In the tie but nothing significant was produced by the Portuguese club as they closed the first half with a draw and are still behind in the tie.
Porto kept on knocking but all effort was in vain as they kept on missing chances. Frustration kicks in as Pepe lost his cool and received a second yellow and was sent off in the 97th minute.
The game ended in a 0-0 draw which saw Inter advance to the quarter-finals with a 1-0 aggregate win.
