Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has said he’s happy with his achievements in his driving career so far. He further went on to say that he his not keen on setting title records in the sport.
The Dutchman who is the defending champion of the drivers championship won back-to-back titles with Red Bull in the 2021 and 2022 season was quoted saying: “No. I’m not interested in winning seven or eight titles. If you have the car to do so, then great. But even if it doesn’t [happen], I’m happy – I’m already happy, so it’s OK!”
Ahead of the race weekend in Azerbaijan, Max Verstappen reflected on his future saying he fancies himself doing other types of racing outside Formula 1 of which he has set his sights on endurance racing where he re-echoed what he told Motorsport.com in 2022 that: “F1 is a lot of fun, and I’m having a lot of success at the moment,” said Verstappen.
“But I want to do other things as well. I know my contract runs until 2028. I will be 31 at that time. I’m probably still going to be competitive for a few more years after that.
“But in those years I also want to experience other things and just have a bit more fun with less pressure and less of a schedule.”
Max Verstappen goes into the fourth race of the season where he sits top with two race wins and a second place finish. His teammate Sergio Pérez is second on drivers standings thus putting Red Bull in pole position in the constructors standings.
