Former Nigeria’s Eagles player Ifeanyi Udeze has written off the chances of Nigeria’s champions Rivers United against Young Africans of Tanzania in the second leg.
Both sides will clash at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium on Sunday with the winners over the two legs going through.
Congo’s striker Fiston Mayele netted twice in the first leg played at the Goodswill Akpabio stadium and the Young Africans are in a better position ahead of the second leg.
While speaking on the Brila FM radio in Lagos, Udeze appreciate the confidence of Rivers United but feels it will be difficult for them to achieve the desired result.
“I don’t see Rivers United overturning the first-leg deficit.
“Though I love the confidence of the Rivers United players as they believe they can turn it around because anything can happen. it’s football.
“But as for me I doubt if they can go to Tanzania and beat Young Africa”, he said.
