The chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League club Akwa United Paul Bassey has emerged as the 2nd vice president of the African Club Association.
The African Soccer governing body on Thursday launched the ACA in Cairo, Egypt and 4 Nigerian clubs including Akwa United were invited to participate.
The election for the elective post was held during the inaugural meeting and the boss of Promise Keepers emerged as one of the winners.
The boss of the Tanzania club Yanga Sports Club Hersi Said emerged as the president, Jessica Motaung of Kaizerchief of South Africa clinched the first vice president while the second vice president goes to Nigeria’s representative Bassey.
One of the key objectives of the association is to promote and protect the interests of the African clubs.
