Akwa United U-15 team, the junior Promise Keepers are through to the quarter finals of the 2023 NPFL/La Liga Youth League competition taking place in Ikenne, Ogun state.
Akwa United recorded two wins and one draw to emerge as Group B winners with 7 points.
They began their campaign with a 2-1 win over Sunshine Stars. They were forced to a 1-1 draw by Kwara United before beating Doma United 2-1 in their final Group B game.
Akanimo Johnson and Daniel Mendie have both scored two goals each in three games and the duo will be aiming to continue their fine form in the next round.
Akwa United U-15 team, handled by youthful UEFA licensed coach Edward Edemekong will engage Group D runners-up El-Kanemi Warriors U-15 in the quarter finals scheduled to take place on at Remo Stars stadium on Saturday April 22 in the morning.
