21-year-old footballer Folarin Balogun has pledged his international future with the United States of America.
Folarin who was eligible to play for Nigeria, England, and the United States of America finally decided to play for the “Stars and Stripes” in a post on his Twitter account saying: “LET’S MAKE HISTORY” https://twitter.com/balogun/status/1658475810351898624?t=QNQb8vSf_H1ctOM4MqNohA&s=19
He had previously expressed his disappointment in not being called up to the England camp in March in a cryptic post on his Instagram story where he said: “In life, go where [you’re] appreciated.”
Having failed to receive a call-up from Nigeria and he decided to pledge to his country of birth, the United States.
He previously played for the USA at the U18 level raking up 4 appearances with 2 goals before representing England at U20 and U21 levels where he scored 7 goals in 14 appearances.
Though playing in his debut season in the French Ligué 1, he has scored 19 goals whilst on loan at Riems from Arsenal.
