Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface sent a warning signal to the Nigerian opponents in the upcoming African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Boniface scored his 10th league goal of the season on Wednesday night when Bayer Leverkusen walloped Bochum 4-0.
Starting the game at the Bayarena on the bench, the young striker was introduced into the team in the 67th minute and he was able to register his name on the scorers sheet in the 69th minute.
Former USG attacker had earlier in the day won the Rookie Player of the Month and he got a standing ovation from the team fans and supporters after the game.
Boniface is expected to be among the players that will carry Nigeria’s flag in Ivory Coast.
