Tunisian giants Club Africain has sent a warning signal to the Nigeria representative Rivers United with an emphatic 1-3 away win over APC Lobito.
Club Africain started their campaign in the competition with a 2-0 win over Dream FC in Tunis in the opening group game.
They played away from on Sunday night against APC Lobito and recorded a remarkable 1-3 victory to go top of the group.
A brace by Bassem Srarfi in the 46th and 75th minute accompanied by Hamdi Labidi’s strike in the 53rd minute was enough to see off the Angolans who had their consolation goal scored by Samuel Cachimbombo at the hour mark.
Pride of Rivers and Club Africain will clash in the match day 3 and 4 of the competition in Uyo and Tunis.
