CAF Confederation Cup defending champions USM Algiers of Algeria is set to be without some of their key players due to injury when they confront Rivers United in the first leg of the knockout stage of the tournament
The update from the team camp indicated that 5 players have been ruled out of the first-leg game due to injury.
The concerned players include Oussamma Chita, Salim Boukhenchouche, Ismail Belkacemi, Brahim Benzaza, and team captain Zinedine Belaid.
The aforementioned players are not included in the list of players announced for the first leg game slated for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Meanwhile, the African Super Cup champions have arrived in Nigeria for the crucial first-leg match.
The team under coach Garrido departed Algerian late on Thursday evening after the conclusion of their final training before the game.
